Small Groups

Helping our members grow in their walk with Christ is of utmost priority to us here at Faith Family Church. We believe Small Groups are the perfect instrument to help in that task. We encourage you to keep reading to learn more about getting involved.

It’s been said that the larger a church grows the smaller it must become. In other words, Biblical Community is essential for our spiritual growth and we believe that growth happens best in small group.

First Loves - Fran Hipsley.  Meets the first Friday of the month at 6 pm in Fellowship Hall.  This is a new group for women who are married.  No book is being studied at this time and childcare may be provided, if needed.  Contact Fran Hipsley at flipsley (at) gmail (dot) com.

Married Couples with Children - Raul Pineiro and Bill Shields.  For couples with school age children.  Currently studying "The Kings Cross" by Timothy Keller.  Meets the first and third Fridays of the month from 6-9 pm at the Pineiro's home.  Includes dinner, a time of praise and worship, and family devotions.  Childcare is not provided.  Contact the Shields at rebecca_shields (at) hotmail (dot) com.

Searchers - Gail Salgado.  Meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm beginning February 16th at Gail’s house in Sykesville, Md.  Will be studying “Experiencing God”. The group is open to anyone but will close once the book study has started.  Contact Gail at jngagby (at) hotmail (dot) com.

One Accord - Bob and Kay Hunt. Open to any adults. Meets every other Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the Hunt’s home. Currently studying 1 and 2 Kings. Childcare is not provided. Contact the Hunts at kaynbobhunt (at) verizon (dot) net.

Girlfriends at Gail's - (GAG)  Single women, ages 35-55.  Gail Stuart.  Meets every other Friday night at 6:30 pm at Gail’s house in Westminster, MD.  Currently studying “More Than Just Another Good Bible Study Girl” (No childcare) For more information contact Gail at gail.stuart (at) edwardjones (dot) com.

Koinoneia - Curt and Ruth Milton.  Open to any adults.  Meets every other Friday at 7:00 pm at a member’s home in the Eldersburg/Gamber area. No child care.  Generally studies a book of the Bible. Contact the Miltons atcurtmilton (at) verizon (dot) net.

Scrapbooking and Scriptures - Lydia Creighton.  For adult ladies.  Meets every third Friday at 6:30 pm in Fellowship Hall.  Currently studying the book of Ruth.  Childcare is not provided.  For more information contact Lydia at queenlyddie (at) email (dot) com.

Married Couples - Heather and Woody Woodburn.  For couples.  Will be studying the book of Daniel.  Meets every other Friday night. (No childcare) Contact Woody at woodyathome (at) mindspring (dot) com

Adults - Led by Bob Cook.  Meets every other Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the home of Brian and Eva Fleming in Sykesville, MD.  Currently studying the book of Romans.  A light dinner will be served.  Children are welcome.  Childcare is not provided.  Please contact Brian Fleming at kwazymotob (at) yahoo (dot) com for more information.

Young Married Couples - Jon and Julie Keeler.  Meets Sunday evenings, every other week, at the Keeler home in Sykesville, MD.  Will be finishing “The Grace Discipleship Course.”  Children are welcome and childcare is provided. Check with the information desk for more information.

Married with Younger Kids - Dan and Emily Ashby.  Open to any young married couples with or without kids. Meets every other Monday evening for 6 weeks from 6:30- 8:00 pm at the Ashby home in Sykesville, MD.  Will be studying “Building Teamwork in Your Marriage.”  Children welcome and childcare provided for a small fee.  Contact the Ashbys at emilyashby05 (at) hotmail (dot) com for more information.

Couples - Deb McCarty.  Meets every other Sunday evening, 6-8 pm, at the Pete and Amy Staritz’s home in Sykesville, MD.  Will be studying the book of Hebrews.  Childcare available.  Contact Deb at deb_mccarty (at) hotmail (dot) com. 

Knitting Small Group - Joyce Smith and Dorrie Smith. Meeting every other Thursday evening, 7 pm, in the Fellowship Hall. Open to any ladies who knit or crochet or would like to LEARN to knit or crochet. (Will be making prayer shawls for those who are ill). No childcare. Check with the information desk for more details.

Mixed Adults - Judy Andrews and Gary Smith.  Meets every other Tuesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall.  Will be studying “Dug Down Deep” by Josh Harris.  Open to all adults. No childcare.  Call Judy at 410 552-9522, ext. 7 for more details.

Men’s Prayer Group - Ethan Reed. Meets every Tuesday morning at 6:00 am for an hour of prayer in the Fellowship Hall. For more information, check with the information desk.
